You have to have previously recieved the Greenhand and Chapter degree, have completed 360 hours of systematic secondary school instruction in agricultural education and one full year of enrollment in a postsecondary agricultural program. You also have to have in operation and maintained records to substantiate an outstanding SAE program, have earned and productively invested at least $7,500, and have worked 2,250 hours in excess of scheduled class time.   You need to have participated in at least 50 hours of community service within at least 3 different community activities.  And lastly, you have to have an outstanding record of leadership abilities and community involvement, as well as hold a scholastic record of a "C" or higher.
